Participants participate in all aspects of the planning, execution and analysis of the business simulator’s activities.
From initial business plan through to budgeting, scheduling, purchasing raw materials, production, marketing, and sales, students are exposed to all aspects of an art-based business. They also participate in the profit and loss analysis of these activities after the events.
Participants are encouraged to think like business owners and treat the semester’s project as if they were managing their own business. And when they reach or exceed their forecasted profit numbers, they receive a cash bonus (small though it may be) for motivation and to illustrate the way entrepreneurship works.
